Step 2Carefully thread the Cord Stick® needle through Wharton's Jelly for a distance of about 2 cm. (This technique reduces the incidence of post sampling spray from the cord.) Continue needle insertion into the umbilical vein. As the needle enters the vein, you may observe blood flow (flashback) into the needle manifold.
