Manifold Latch Protector Ribs

During the simulated trials testing, it was observed that some users did not carefully follow the instructions. They did not place their hands completely behind the fingerwings when withdrawing the tray. They placed their fingers forward of the finger wings and over the manifold retraction latch. On occasion this behavior prevented complete retraction of the needle manifold. To prevent this behavior from compromising device safety, manifold latch protection ribs were created. These ribs prevent the operator from touching the manifold latch, thus allowing complete needle retraction.
