Cord Stick® Barrel

The Cord Stick® barrel holds the manifold and tray. It is shown both locked closed and in its open pre-assembled state. The barrel is molded with a living hinge which runs its length like the top on a box of dental floss.

The barrel has finger wings on the lateral edges like a thumb control syringe. Bilateral manifold latches located forward of the finger wings, are a safety feature which help to prevent the needle manifold from re-emerging from the front of the barrel. Outside Barrel latches to keep the unit securely closed.

Internal friction ribs (top and bottom) keep the tray from falling out during assembly and delivery to the instrument table. Although colored blue-green in this illustration, the barrel (like the tray and the manifold) is made of clear plastic.
